Most people plan their retirement finances.
Only a few plan their retirement life.

Join Robert B. Strand for a 90-minute live workshop that starts the design.

THE PROMISE

You'll leave this session with something most people never have:
a written first draft of your retirement vision across the four main areas of life.
This helps determine whether retirement feels like freedom or like constraint.

Instead of a financial projection or a bucket list, you will have a real, honest start to answering the question:

What does the retirement I actually want look like?

WHEN

Date: Wednesday, July 15, 2026
Time: 7:30 PM Central | 8:30 PM Eastern | 5:30 PM Pacific
Format: Live on Zoom. Small groups. Interactive.
Investment: $97

WHO THIS IS FOR

This workshop is for you if:

You've been saving and planning, and when someone asks what you will do day to day in retirement, the answer is vague.

You're attending alone as someone building a retirement vision on your own terms,
or as someone who will have a future conversation with your partner.

You and your partner have yet to sit down and compared notes on what you each want.
You've assumed you're aligned, yet you're not sure.

You're already retired and the life you're living doesn't quite match the one you imagined.
Something is missing and you haven't been able to name it.

You're close enough to the transition that the question is no longer theoretical,
and you realize the lifestyle areas of retirement haven't been designed.

If any of those descriptions fit, you're in the right place.

YOUR HOST

Robert B. Strand is the founder of Strategic Retirement Design and the author of Bridge the Retirement Gap (2022). After a 45-year career in technology, Robert and his partner relocated internationally to Santiago, Chile. That transition, and what it revealed about the gap between financial readiness and lifestyle readiness, is the foundation of everything he teaches.

Robert works with professional couples and individuals who want to design their retirement intentionally, before or after the transition, rather than arriving at it by chance.

WHAT THIS WORKSHOP IS NOT

This is not a financial planning session.
We will not discuss savings rates, investment strategies, withdrawal sequencing, or Social Security timing.
There are excellent professionals for that work.

This is the work that is a lifestyle design that complements financial planning.

WHAT YOU'LL DO IN 90 MINUTES

You'll hear why the research on retirement health, longevity, and well-being points consistently to lifestyle design,
not financial planning, as the determining factor in retirement quality.

You'll complete the Retirement Vision Inventory, a structured written exercise across four areas of life:
purpose and identity, social connection, health and vitality, and financial sufficiency.

You'll work in a small group with three or four other attendees to share one insight from your inventory
and hear what others noticed in theirs.

WHAT YOU'LL LEAVE WITH

A completed first draft of your retirement vision, and a clear sense of which path forward fits where you are right now.

Clarity about which areas of your retirement life are well-considered and which need more work.

A structured prompt for opening or deepening the retirement conversation with your partner, if relevant.

A clear next step that fits your timeline and your situation.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU REGISTER

You'll receive a confirmation email immediately with your Zoom link and a short note on how to prepare. No preparation is required, but if you'd like to arrive with something in mind, spend five minutes before the session thinking about some things you really want to do in your ideal retirement. Just five minutes. The rest happens in the room.

A reminder email will go out 48 hours before the session, again 4 hours before, and again one hour before.

The people who have a great retirement aren't just lucky.

They designed it with intention.

This is where you start.
